Active in motor sport for far too long (so the competition enviously say), Colin Stancombe is the boss. With a consistent drive to be the best, an engineering knowledge built on a foundation from working for Ford Motor Company Research and Development’s Special Vehicle Engineering Department plus years of racing, his skill and “out of the box” thinking makes his customers progress fast. Having raced himself gives him a unique ability when identifying driver/car problems because he knows the circuits they’re driving on. Colin is linked to Havering College motorsport and rally engineering courses to whom he provides consultancy, assistance with curriculum delivery, race team support, preparation and planning. We also give students ‘at meeting’ work experience with our race team (Please see the links page for further information). Don’t be fooled by his insatiable sense of humour – he’s deadly serious about racing, and quotes “It is the interpretation and application of driver needs, based on sound engineering principles, that wins races – not myths and legends.”
